- Whalesharks - Responsible interaction for divers and snorkelers
- Coral Reef - Introduction to the Coral Reef

In addition to the talks, we are conducting fish survey dives, coral watch survey dives and snorkel trips as well as Whale Sharking trips. Contact us for more information about upcoming events.
Lionfish Hunting and the Derby
As those of you who have visited the Caribbean lately will know, there is an invasive predator in our midst! The Lionfish!
The first sighting around Utila was back in 2009 and since then they are rapidly spreading in Utila and the Bay Islands. UCME ( Utila Centre for Marine Ecology) are running a Lionfish containment programme around Utila which has involved licensing special Hawiian slings for hunting. These slings are simple tools which are proving very effective in helping to control the Lionfish populations on Utila's dive sites. Deep Blue is supporting this by hunting lionfish continuously. We also take part in Utila's Lionfish Derby.
